Thanks for the response. I have done as you suggested, but still get the same result. The program had completed around 65% of the scan and then quit unexpectedly.
The Apple report had the following:
Application Specific Information:
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Unhandled detection state!'

terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException

When ever i try to do a full scan of my iMac the software crashes. I have uninstalled the software and re-installed from the web site. I'm running the free home version 2015.0 (4818). Has anyone had a similar experience?
