Please follow the below steps in order to remove AVG Family Safety.
From the “Task Manager” please close/terminate All FAS processes, examples:
§ avgfasui.exe
§ BsecAMX.exe
§ BsecTray.exe
§ InetCtrl.exe
Rename the AVG Family Safety program folder, e.g.:
Windows 32-bit:
C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG Family Safety\ to C:\Program Files\AVG_AVG Family Safety<br>Windows 64-bit:
C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\AVG Family Safety\ to C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG_AVG Family Safety<br>
Perform the winsock reset and after the restart of the computer AVG Family Safety will not be running anymore.
Winsock RESET:
Run the „Command Prompt“ as Administrator and type in the following parameter "netsh winsock reset“ and press “Enter”. User has to get the notification that „Windows Catalogs have been successfully reset“.

Okay, I wasted a ton of money with AVG to have these problems…Anyway, can you tell me where AVG Family Safety folder is? Also several of your .exe did not exist. Since I am a computer user and not a programmer can you tell me what a winsock reset is? How about using terms that an everyday computer user who got suckered into buying AVG can understand … Thanks

You can find the AVG Family safety folder from your C drive of your computer. Please go to "My Computer" and select the C drive and search in the list of folders for "Program files/Program files(X86). In program files, you an see the AVG Folder, please open the AVG folder and from there you can see the AVG Family Safety. Please check in the task manager for the processes we have mentioned before.
