Thanks Rajarajan, it appears this is on me…firmware update for router…appears all is well now.
I use 2 gmail accounts, and I have constant issues loading and downloading attachments. I have disabled scanner function, still the same. I would really appreciate some help. I am using latest windows and avg, paid. Thanks-

Thank you for the information. Do you find issues in loading other websites in 'Chrome'? Did you try to login to gmail using a different web browser(IE or Firefox) to check if the issue persists? Thank you.
