I have done as you suggested and disabled HTTPS scanning, this has resolved the problem and I can access Chrome again.

It's been like this going on 3 weeks, can't run Google Chrome and I'm not comfortable turning off HTTPS scanning. When is this issue going to be addressed?

- Are you trying to access any specific website or all websites?
- Please confirm whether you are unable to use only Google chrome or all browsers like Edge, Firefox etc?
- Have you tried to disable AVG Internet Security and check whether chrome works fine?

I have just upgraded to the premium AVG internet security and now I can't open anything on Google Chrome with an error message "This site can't be reached" appearing every time I try to open any web pages. I have tried a number of suggested fixes, but nothing has worked so far.
Can anyone help?

Please try disabling HTTPS scanning in AVG Web Shield & let us know the outcome (Open AVG Internet Security - Menu - Settings - Basic protection - Web shield - Uncheck HTTPS scanning).

I am facing the same problem.
I am used to download all my apps from popularapk (website removed), but since i installed AVG, i havne't been able to connect to such sites. Even though i have not faced any problem before and virus total results also support my statement. AVG does seem to do actual analysis but only blocks urls via simplistic rules. :(
