Hello, Paul.
I certainly understand this must be upsetting. May I know how did you narrow this down to AVG? Please disable AVG protection temporarily and check if the issue is resolved. Right click on AVG system tray icon, toggle the On/Off slider to disable AVG protection.
Recently installed AVG Ultimate, retail version, on Win10 PC. All went well except Chrome Browser now does not connect to the internet. MS Edge has no problem, but all my bookmarks, etc are on my PREFERRED Chrome Browser. Can you please tell me how to fix this?
Found Honey extension being blocked. Uninstalled Chrome and re-installed. All looks OK for now.
I understand your concern. Please open AVG Internet Security installed on your computer, click on Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Click on "Network Profile(Left side of the interface) and change the profile to "Private" if selected in "Public".
After changing this settings, check if you are able to connect to Internet from Google Chrome.
We are happy to hear that your issue is resolved. We appreciate your time and co-operation.
