I understand the inconvenience. Are you facing this issue after the optimization of AVG PC TuneUp ? Please restore [http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-revert-changes-done-by-PC-TuneUp] the changes made by AVG PC TuneUp and check if Google chrome works fine.
I have tried the fixes on the Internet and nothing is working. Is it possible the firewall or turbo mode is causing this?
