Google home page search switches to Yahoo search

Hello Tony,
If you would like to use Google search as your homepage, please change it in your browser settings as per the instructions in this article https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/464?hl=en .

All my Google searches from google home page switch to yahoo search engine. I believe avg has now partnered with yahoo after about 5 years with google.
How do i remove this redirection - i really believe i should be given the option and not forced down the road of a suppliers preference/business decision.

Thanks for the response… although I found it to be a Firefox plugin called "Incognito" that was causing this - removed it and case closed!
