Grrr ! ' Virus Definitions Are Out Of Date'

Hello Phil,
I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused. The issue might be because of old/missing AVG files. In this case, I request you to repair AVG program (go to C drive > program files (x86) > AVG > setup > run the files avgsetupx.exe and select repair), reboot your computer once and check if your AVG Internet Security program is working fine.
Best regards,
Alok.

Just recently I keep getting a warning message from AVG, ' Virus Definitions Are Out Of Date '.  I keep checking if they are up to date and then i get a message that they ARE already up to date. I even once got a message from AVG saying something like ' Oops, this is embarrassing… '  but the next time I start my laptop up the message is back. I have Googled the problem and it seems that lots of AVG Customers are having this issue.     My question is…     Are AVG going to fix this? Or do they expect us to fix it for them by uninstalling and reinstalling? Seriously AVG, if you can't be trusted to fix this, why on earth do you think that we should pay you to take care of our Internet Security for us ???
Anybody got any experience of this? Or an easy fix - other than changing to another Internet Security Company???

I go to the control penal and repair the AVG Internet Security that would work.
