Has anybody solved the BBC iPlayer AVG problem?

I think what John was asking was if anyone has found a work around as AVG VPN obviously hasn't. Wonderland doesn't work and as there are only 3 options for the UK I am pretty sure John would, just like all of us would have tried it.
For a heads up plenty of the much cheaper VPN options work with BBC iPlayer as they regularly switch IP addresses.
AVG seem to be quite happy to charge a lot without caring why people want to use it, why else would I want a VPN for a different country? Kinda hope they don't have the same focus with their antivirus.

Hello John,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We are really sorry to know that you are facing issues with connecting BBC iPlayer using AVG Secure VPN. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
We will check and help you with this issue.
It is known that certain streaming websites blocked VPN due to restrictions.
In order to overcome this issue, we suggested you to connect with 'Streaming server' like 'Gotham City' or 'Wonderland'. Streaming server is a virtual server that are optimize to provide you access to streaming websites like HBO Max.
For your information, it's something we have very little control of as it's mainly up to the service provider (Eg. Sky, BBC, Netflix) whether they allow VPN connections or not. In some regions, VPN doesn't work due to the restrictions on the concerned website.
Please open AVG Secure VPN program window.
Click on "change location" and select the locations available under "Streaming" and "P2P".
Check which location from it allows you to access BBC iPlayer.
Thank you and keep us updated.

I'll be interested to hear if you get anywhere with this. I'm also a paid customer but got nowhere. The only option seems to be to use a VPN from someone other than AVG

I keep seeing people asking the same question and never getting an answer from AVG. Has anybody ever got BBC iPlayer working with AVG VPN?

Everyone who has the problem knows that all the solutions suggested by the AVG suport don't work

Thanks Arunchunarajan Kulothungan. The question wasn't really addressed to you. I was really hoping for an answer from someone who has useful to say, maybe someone who has tested possible solutions?
