Has anyone else had the astromenda.com redirect virus get past the free version of avg antivirus?

Hi Jaymus, I'm also running AVG 2014 Free, and I also updated to Flash Player 14 directly from Adobe yesterday. However, no astromenda.com in my case. As usual the installer included Chrome and Google Toolbar, both of which I deselected. Googling astromenda.com finds a large number of removal guides. I'm glad you were able to remve it, but I'm a little skeptical that it came from Adobe's website.

to whom it may concern just wanted to report that recently my pc was infected directly from adobe flashplayers web site it was the only thing i downloaded was an update to flashplayer 14 next thing i know i was getting warnings to be protected from this virus from avg wich i did choose to protect me but it got through anyway turns out it was the astromenda.com redirect virus wich i found the only way i could remove it was by deleting every and any registry entry;s related to the astromenda.com web site just wanted to save anyone else the headaches i just had anyway hope this helps anyone  thanks jaymus777

Jaymus, Pleased to see that you appear to be now operational. Should you encounter further issues please bear in mind no AV product is capable of providing you with 100% protection although AVG are always working 24/7.
