I understand your concern.
The steps that you have mentioned is for activating AVG 2017 version using license.
You can check the license expiry date by getting into subscriptions tab.
Open AVG Internet Security dashboard and click on "Menu–>About–>Subscriptions"
Your current license expiry date is 25th November 2018.
If the date is incorrect please let us know.

Hello,

I have just renewed my AVG Internet Security for 1pc via Sales Support.  I have tried to activate my new licence via Dashboard by copy and pasting from your email confirmation my new licence number.  Please can you confirm that I have activated my new licence correctly?  I went to Menu>About>Subscription entered new licence no. and then clicked on the words 'new licence'.  Have I done this correctly please?
