I have been trying for hours to get AVG to update. The bar never moves to begin intializing. I've tried uploading a new program but then it tells me the log is running but there is no window open. I've tried deleting earlier versions but it doesn't like that either. I can only delete an earlier AVG paid for program. I used to be a paying customer of AVG but their eternal ads and pop-ups drove me crazy. Is it time to look for another anti-virus service? I also tried the article on how to repair AVG but I get the same message that the log is running. The program did a computer scan but that was rather useless since the program won't update. Help?
