How can recover password to protected area of AVG (program settings)?

I cannot uninstall AVG,scan the computer, do performance scan or update AVG because I do not have Protected area of AVG password. Please assist.

I will help you to sort this out. If you forgot the AVG's Interface Password, you cannot reset it. The only option is to uninstall AVG Internet Security from the control panel and reinstall it https://www.avg.com/en-us/download.
