I have somehow managed to get two subscriptions to AVG and can find no way to cancel one of them or get a refund. I just spent 15 minutes being asked to wait 2 minutes by someone in tech support and have reached th point of wanting to cancel AVG completely. Can someone please tell me how to do the incredibly simple task of cancelling a duplicate subscription? A URL for the “Cancel my subscription” page is needed, not the top of a labyrinth of menus.
AVG did not issue a refund. They are just wasting our time and misleading us. It’s better to unsubscribe and disable the auto-renewal option. Also, delete your account to prevent automatic deductions from your bank. I still have not received my refund.
Some happened to me due that AVG software being slow and ask again for payment. Trying to get a refund since December 2024, they just string you along with all their BS, given incorrect links, transferring to other persons/departments etc., which claim it is not their department , blah, blah, blah. Ready to cancel all of my AVG subscription.
I wish people would get the message that AVG is completely untrustworthy and stop even trying to communicate with them. I tried hard to unsubscribe but couldn’t. I would press “unsubscribe” and nothing happened. I tried hard to contact them about the fact that they had double-billed me. No Answer. This went on for months. I asked Paypal to stop paying its bills, which I was unable to stop. Nobody at AVG ever answered me, and I could find no way of contacting them. Yes - cancel all of your AVG subscriptions. There are other, much better and more honest companies.
I found out a couple of years ago, that I had a double subscribtion. Using the chat support it was solved. I didn’t get a refund in cash, but my subscription was prolonged 4years
