How do i prevent AVG from disallowing installation of a program

Hi there, from the land down-under. :slight_smile:   The subject says it all really. I have tried many times to install a small quota measuring program. each time I go to install it, all seems to go well. However when i go to run the more recent version (downloaded from extra secure site & installed) It merely reverts to an earlier version that is incompatible with Win 7 & now Win 10?
Is it possible that AVG (free) may be blocking a proper installation, thinking it is a virus?
I would appreciate any help.

Hi Gary, sorry to know that. To ensure if AVG is blocking the installation, please disable AVG ( http://avgread.me/1GnMD3N ) and check if you are able to proceed with the installation. Please ensure that the download site is safe. AVG will block only the unsecured websites. Thanks.
