How do I uninstall AVG when I keep getting this message: Service AVG Firewall could not be stopped...something about admin privileges to stop and the uninstall stops. I paid for this subscription and now it's useless!

Thank you!  That did the trick.  I've now downloaded and installed internet security 2015 and my license number was taken.  Thanks again!

My computer upgraded to 8.1 and now my paid AVG is useless.  It says I can't uninstall because of the firewall and the uninstall stops.

How do I get it off so I can reinstall and use the license I paid for?

Jane, Have a look @ this article (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG). Try using the AVG Remover.
