Could you tell if you have performed any actions using AVG to your Security Generating Ap for your online banking?
And also confirm if you have a VPN in your PC.
I have not been able to open my Security generating Ap for my online banking since downloading AVG tune up and driver updater. I have gone into AVG settings/blocked and allowed Aps option and it its in blocked Ap, but can not find a way of transferring it to allowed Aps. I have tried ringing tech. support and waited for ages only to fund they could not hear me on my phone and there is not other way of getting support. HELP!

I have been unable to do anything to my Security Generatign Ap as it is iinthe blocked category as far as AVG is concerned.
How do I know if I have VPN?

We're glad to help you with this, Pamela. If the app is found in the blocked list, then you'd have blocked the app from accessing the protected files or internet by allowing AVG to monitor the app.
However, you'll be able to remove a blocked app by hovering cursor on it & then click on the 3 dots beside it to select Remove.
