Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
If you get the option as Buy now then you must have installed the trial version of AVG program and after the expiry of the trial version it is asking you to buy now.
Could you please open your AVG program and check whether it says your trial got expired and ask you to buy now?
Also check whether it says that you have few days for the trial to expire.
Also provide the screenshot of the popup so that we can assist you better.

I keep getting the pop up saying "You've lost your pro protection" but the only two options are remind me later and buy now. Been saying remind me later for months, it's getting irritating!!! I've gone to advanced settings and unticked "AVG advisor notifications" but I still get it…

We just reconfirmed the product in which the your experiencing this issue.
We would request you to run AVG remover tool to completely remove AVG and then re install it.
Please click this link http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and "Run" the AVG Remover tool.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart, manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.

Are you using free or paid version of AVG product?
Upon reviving your account details, we see that you have AVG File Server Edition (5 computers) in it. Are you experiencing this issue with Business products?

Not a problem with the business products, this is the free version on my local pc.
