How to activate my new license?

The email instructions you received is for the older version.

Please open AVG Internet Security installed on your computer, click on "My AVG->My Subscription". From here check if you see your email address with correct expiry date.

If yes, then please do not worry, AVG program is activated successfully on your computer.

You can ignore the email you received.

I've thought I had activated my AVG account with the new license, but I keep getting emails telling me to reactivate.  The instruction on the email, don't match when I hit the AVG icon.  It tells me to go to Support, right hand column hit Activate.  It doesn't exit.  When I go to Subscription, I enter the new license, then hit Enter License, it tells me to log in and I'm back to zero again.  I have already paid for this subscription, why am I having problems reactivating the new license number to my account.
