Alok,
Unfortunately that windows image was too far gone to save. It progressed to a boot "…000e" error and 3rd party programs that claimed to fix that failed. I had to go back to a Nov 2017 backup. That backup did seem to benefit from the tools you suggested.
Hello Ron,
At this point there is one more thing which we can try, you can use AVG Rescue CD to recover your computer to boot or allow normal operation. Please follow the instruction (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-use-AVG-Rescue-CD) to run AVG Rescue CD.
Best regards,
Alok.
I had AVG paid service with no problems. At service term expire (maybe just before), AVG kept asking me to restart. The restarted always locked up PC. So I stopped restarting and only used shutdown. On (or very near) the date of expiration my PC won't boot properly. It take >50 time longer to boot (I have a SSD drive), all font size are huge (video driver, safe mode?) and only boots into a screen with bottom windows bar and no screen background (only black) and no icons. No clicks anywhere work. and after a while AVG screen pops up asking me to renew service. It is interesting that AVG pop up is the only application that runs.
So any advice how to restore to an earlier time or other method to get PC (win 10) running normally again?
