Thank you for writing us back Ingrid,
I understand that you are unable to update Paint dot Net. Please make sure that your AVG Antivirus free or Internet Security application is updated to latest version. To do that follow the below article :
Thank you for your understanding.
Oops, after installing PDN succesfully, I tried to install a PDN update but again AVG won't let me. Can't include a screenshot, file would be too big. Anyway. For the third (or fourth?) time I clicked "Make exception". Than a notification appears (like before): "Will be analysed".
I could switch AVG temporary off, install the update. But when I switch AVG back on, and do a simple scan, it says again that the file is unsafe. From now on every PDN update will probably be a problem.
So my urgent request is to exclude it perminantly in AVG in General.
I can't install an update of Paint dot Net, 'cause AVG put a certain file in Quarantine. Then I tried to reïnstall PDN, but still get failure message. Contacted the forum of PDN and an administrator said that AVG should make an exception for this file, since it's harmless. See my replies on the forum here: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/130231-paintnet-51-beta-build-9023/, where I show screenshots of what happened.
Although I choose make exception in AVG, it still doesn't. So I don't know what to do?
