How to remove false-positive alert

Hello Brian,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
May I know the name of the AVG program that you have installed and the version of it?
Also you are getting the threat detection from AVG only when you visit a particular website, am I right?
If you could provide the screenshot of the threat detection it will be easy for us to assist you.
To take a screenshot please follow the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV and attach the image to this post.

A scan following an alert shows my system to be clear of virus threats however the alert persists
and blocks access to the page I wish to visit. The alert refers to virus threat JS/Redir
and now may be a false-positive. Can anyone suggestion how to remove this problem? Thanks.

Also mention whether you are using the trial, paid or free version of AVG.
The website that you are visiting is it a trusted one?

Hello again Balasubramanian,

The problem has been resolved somehow! After struggling with this issue for a couple of hours I shut-down my computer and attended to another matter. After sending a reply to your response I checked again on the problem site - and the difficulty was no longer there! Thanks anyway for your time.
