Just as the title says I’m trying to figure out how to shut of ALL pop-ups & notifications for AVG. I wouldn’t mind if it notified when it finds an actual virus or malware. But thus far 100% of AVG pop-ups aren’t useful at all and only serve to reduce my productiveness by stopping what Im doing and forcing me to tell it to shut up. It makes pop-ups for really bad reasons such as “our greed says we want you to give us more money” or “you just plugged in your personal usb stick which you are famaliar with, would you like me to scan it yet again even though we know there’s no viruss or malware on it”
It’s just stupid stuff like this. It didn’t used to be that way. AVG didn’t used to harrass me for using their product. A couple years or so ago figuring it was just a greed thing I bought a subscription. But no, that doesn’t help. Even with a paid subscri[ption AVG still put out just as many pop-ups asking me to give them even more money!!! I’ve tried avast also and even tried paying for a subscription and same story with them.
Do I just need to accept that with modern software it doesn’t matter what I buy their greed will always push them to harrass me into buying even more? Or is there ae way to turn off these fully useless pop-ups all together?
It also runs super scammy pop-ups such as “you need to give us more moeny to protect your browser stored passwords”
even though I never have and currently don’t have ANY passwords stored on a browser. They’re literally interupting me telling me to give them money to protect data of mine that doesn’t even exist, literally. Idk how it can get more scammy than this. I swear, AVG is super good at driving away long time loyal customers.
I’m not stuck on AVG and am VERY open to suggestions of other software that operates in a practical manner.
