How to switch off sound for alert regarding virus definitions update (Mac AVG AntiVirus)

I'm a Mac 10.13.6 (High Sierra) user.  Several times a day, an alert pops up on my desktop that my AVG AntiVirus definitions have been updated.  It's driving me nuts.  The sound is identical to other notifications that I have to check.  Does anyone know how to switch off the sound?  I don't see any sound setting anywhere.  Thank you.
