HTML:Script-inf [Susp]

Hey, Victoria. Was your website url address using the 'http' protocol back then, because that would cause the 'infected with HTML:Script-inf[Susp]' popup window to display. Since that time you've probably updated your website url to the 'https' protocol, and re-directed 'http' requests to go to your new 'https' url in your website's Control Panel.

I just experienced the same thing when trying to log onto an 'https' protocol website. The Google ad area on the right side of the search page that highlighted the company was using the old 'http'-protocol url, so clicking on the 'Website' button in the Google ad area caused the AVG warning popup window to display. I then clicked on the newer 'https' url for the company that was in the search listings on the left side of the page, and got right through to the website. That 'infected with HTML:Script-inf[Susp]' text sounds scary, but in this case it was just a missing 's' in the company's url address!

I have been getting a pop-up notification for about a month now on my website that never had this pop-up before. It says "Threat secured- We've safely aborted connection on (website url) because it was infected with HTML:Script-inf[Susp]" and once popped up, freezes my browser and aborts the page (goes blank). This is happening in both of my browsers Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. I've had my developer check the coding on my website and everything looks normal as it should be. What can I do to make this error message go away?
