Hello Paul,
Sorry to know that you have issues when trying to access websites.
Have you disabled AVG and checked whether the issue persists?
Please have a look at this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-disable-AVG
Thank you.
Hi Paul and Karthikeyan
Hope you don't mind me giving you some help, although I may not be online for days to follow up.
Paul, check your clock and date is correct. Although I don't think this is the solution, an incorrect time sometimes gives similar errors.
Paul, it could be that the link you're using is out of date. I see a few people using their favourites/bookmarks to take them their webmail accounts, but their email provider has changed the login page URL (www address). For example, Hotmail and Outlook.com users may still be trying to log in via an old live.com address. So, go to the company's mail website and check that you don't get that error. Then, navigate to the page you want using the websites navigation. If this solves the problem, then make the correct www address your favourite/bookmark.
In any case, the error you're getting is a security certificate error and may be down to the website itself having an out of date or incorrectly used security certificate. If you can paste the link here, maybe Karthikeyan or I can try the link on our computer and report whether we're seeing the same problem.
Good luck.
When I connect to a particular website I get an error message:
On Chrome: Your connection is not private
On Internet Explorer: There is a problem with this site's security certificate.
This website loads without error on at least 2 other computers.
Has anybody a solution?
Sorry again, but that did't work.
Paul, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Hello Paul,
In this case we request you to reset https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/923737/how-to-reset-internet-explorer-settings the Internet Explorer browser to check the issue.
Thank you.
Thanks again, but that made no difference.
Thanks again, but no joy.
Hello Paul,
We are sorry to know that the issue persists. Please navigate to this location and uncheck the https scan and see if that fix this issue.
Open AVG Internet Security and click on Menu->Settings-> Components->Online shield->Customize->Main settings-> uncheck https scan and see if that fix this issue.
Thank you
Hello Paul,
Thank you for the screenshot. We see from the screenshot that you have older version of AVG installed. The latest version is 2017 and we suggest you to remove this and install the latest version of AVG AntiVirus free from this link http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Protection_Free_1606.exe.
Thank you
Hello Paul,
Please try to add the website to the exception list using the instructions on the article http://avgclick.me/AddException and check whether it resolves the issue.
Thank you.
Thanks for the reply.
Disabling AVG does not cure the problem.
