I got charged for a subscription that I cancelled months ago!!! How do I correct that?

I am sorry to say that I concurred with neil_tiney. With an expanding rate most companies transacting online with subscriptions, the default is to get the customer to pay on the presunption that one will keep renewing perpetually. AVG had no problem helping themselves to my money as I tried in vain at the elevanth hour to alter my payment details. There was no functioning fascility to cancel or alter payment methods, and customer support unavailable. This company has and is plummeting ethically and with increasing data leaks and insurance issues is dying and all of their revisions are a desparate act to exploit customers. I cancelled my renewal by requesting a new card from my bank, and would advise you to do the same. I also advise to see how easy it is to contact customer services and to look at how easy it is to unsubscribe to any service as well as ensuring the option to cancel the renewal is readily available and act swiftly. These people disgust me.
