Please let us know what happens exactly while attempting to uploading or synchronizing Google drive. Do you receive any error message?
If so, share us the screenshot of it for better clarity.
Meanwhile, if you suspect that AVG is causing the issue, please disable AVG protection temporarily to check.

AVG security scan was performed yesterday and 'secured threats'. Since then, I cannot upload or sync to my Google drive. Please can someone advise how I reverse this? Thank you
