Hello Joel.
We're here to help. Please note that AVG free does not have firewall to block a port. Do you think AVG is blocking the iPhone connection to Windows 10 PC?
If you do, disable AVG protection temporarily and verify to narrow down the issue to AVG. To disable AVG protection, right click AVG system tray icon and use the On/Off slider.
My wife's Windows 10 machine is running AVG Free. She uses an iPhone and we notice that AVG is blocking PhotoStream, which uses TCP Port 5223. Is there a way to permanently open this port such that AVG will not block it?
Thanks
Empirically, turning off AVG Free allowed the photos to start loading again. The connection was direct. As soon as I turned off AVG, photos started loading. No restart required.
Any ideas why?
Thank you
We appreciate your efforts.
Did you turn off the behavior shield in your Windows 10 or in your I phone?
Hi. I performed this test this morning. The responsible service appears to be Behavior Shield. Once I truned that off photos started loading again. That was the only service turned off during this part of the test.
I expected the proble to be File Shield but turning that off had no effect on photo loading.
I hope this helps.
Joel
