Identity protection not protected

I just turned on my computer for the morning.  As per my habit, I first update AVG and then run a virus scan before work.  This morning I am not protected and I do not understand why.  The only thing highlighted in the Identity Protection, telling me I am not protected.  I have rebooted my computer but it still says the same thing.  What could cause this and how can I fix it before work?
