Hello:
I use a chat client with one of my customers (provided by them), and AVG blocked the downloader as it detected as idp.generic threat. I tried adding the folder to the exclusions list and restore the quarantined file, but it didn't work. I still cannot download files from the chat client!!! I need to fix this urgently, since it is essential for my work. Thanks for your help!!!
Sorry, I had explained the problem more fully here, but my message didn't go through.
Unfortunately, I cannot take a screenshot since I deleted the quarantined file from the vault.
What I can say is that AVG blocked the downloader as the threat described above and showed the folder path for my chat client folder in Program folders.
Still in need of your help.
Thanks in advance!

Still not working, Abirami…

You are most welcome, Giselle.
Will you be able to bring up the threat detection window again by using the downloader of your chat client?
Giselle, I understand that AVG has removed the threat and you don't have the screenshot but I am asking whether it is possible for you to download the application from your chat client and see whether the AVG threat detection popup appear again?
Thanks, Abirami.
Unfortunately, the problem persists.
I cannot take a screenshot of the threat detection window because I deleted the quarantined file from the vault. And the AVG threat detection warning disappeared.
All I can tell you is that it flagged the downloader from my chat client and showed the path in the Program files folder where it belonged.
The threat detection referred to an idp.generic threat.
Thanks in advance for your help.
