Impossible to request a refund

Dear AVG

Please contact me at my email address on record. I am publicly requesting my refund for #AGAP1590691371. I do not have Messenger and cannot contact you there. I waited for over an hour to be connected to an agent, and no one responded. On X, one needs to be verified to send you messages. Request made on 20/03/2025.

Contact the AVG business page on Facebook through Facebook messenger. I got my refund processed a few minutes ago since they actually answer you there, I’m going around the community posts to tell people since I was having the hardest time getting them to reply to me. Good luck!

Thank you for your feedback. After another lengthy wait on the chat, I was connected to a human being and submitted my refund request.

Something doesn’t sit right with me about the inability to submit a request without the chat being the final step. Customers will have already stated their intentions and reaons. Trying to salvage the relationship should come afterwards. With waits over an hr, this prevents many people from ever “submitting” their request. Feels like a scam. How many people just give up?

Agreed their methods are awful. There should be no reason to speak to anyone to have it processed.
