Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Our AVG programs are compatible from Windows XP SP3 and to the latest version of Windows.
May I know the Operating System installed on your PC?

Hi, I have today received my new AVG virus protection. At the point of installing a message appeared.
Incompatible  operating system - sorry your operating system is not compatible with this AVG product.
error code Oxe 001f 96c

Please can you advise me on the way forward if there is one

At this point and I have to say everytime I have to contact you lot, I am out of my depth and have not a clue what you are saying. To this end I now think it is time to go our separate ways. Kindly refund my money, and cancel my account. If you cant make things simple DONT BOTHER

Thank you for the information but is your Windows XP Professional installed with Service Pack 3.
Please check for the system properties and confirm whether it is mentioned as Service Pack 3 along with the Windows XP Professional.
