Will this Fix also correct the schedual scan issue are they connected?. The schedual scan set up has not worked properly for ages.Repair does not correct the issue and also i have seen the replies from other postings the remote help from avg does not. So are they connected or are they two different issues .

no matter when I have scanned, the AVG UI always tells me it was 'a few seconds ago'…where does this info come from and how could i correct it…wish i could insert a screenshot!!!

We are working on this issue and the issue will get fixed soon. However, your computer is protected from all types of malware with AVG Free antivirus (it's just an AVG user interface issues).
