I tried removing with AVG remover tool and re-install, but impossible…
A lot of money for a product that is uncapable of installing properly. I would like my money to be returned.

I am having the same problem. I have been running AVG Internet Security for more than a year. Yesterday, it indicated problems following an AVG update (e.g. only email protection working). After 10 update and reboot cycles the problem remained. I uninstalled AVG Internet Security, logged into my AVG account and downloaded the software again. I've tried to install at least 8 times without success. I ran the AVG Removal Tool at least 3 times (each requiring at least 2 restarts). I ran a registry cleaner (CCleaner) to remove broker registry entries and remove uninstalled files then ran AVG Removal Tool again (it tells me it can't find any instances of AVG Internet Security on my system). Even then, the installation attempt produces an "Installation failed" message (General error (0x0299) Error code: 0x80010299). I still have over 200 days left on my AVG Internet Security subscription but can't install the product.

Here is an update.
I have installed internet security, but left out FIREWALL. It then installed without problem.
However, I need firewall working so I still need help.

I disabled windows firewall and then tried to install avg firewall from avg internet security.
I got the same error at the end of the installation.
It seems to me that there is a bug in the program that I am running.
