I have been getting an installation error (0xe001f94e Event exec finished ) when installing avg. I have tried a number of ways to fix it, hopefully fix it I mean. So far I have had no success.
I did have it up and running but it said my license code was no longer valid and I decided to switch to the free version. Now I have no protection.
I started with Revo to uninstall and then CC cleaner ansd since then have tried the following, both in the full windows and safemode.
AVG_Antivirus_Free_x86_694.exe
avg_remover_stf_x86_2015_550.exe
avg_smg_stf_x86_2013_2897.exe
AVG_BFEfix.exe
delrepxp_en.exe
reset_access_avg9_en.exe
I have not found the exact error code on the internet so I tried every idea I could find, I even deleted and reinstalled Microsofts C++ as I read it can cause conflicts with the AVG install, so far I have had no sucess and am stumped for new ideas. I hope someone here can help?
