Got this error code. Followed advice foud by searching on it. Uninstalled AVG Free 2015 and AVG Secure Search. Still got the same error. Reran AVG Remover, but still got the same error. Deleted all AVG files from the Programs directory, but still got the error while installing.
Looked in the registry and found more than 20 entries when searching registry on "AVG" so it is clear that the AVG Remover does NOT remove all of AVG as it promises. Saw references fto AVG Rewards, AVG Toolbar, other executable files starting with the letters avg, etc.
I am pretty darn impatient with not being able to install AVG Ultimate NOW THAT I HAVE BEEN SEDUCED INTO PAYING FOR IT.
Somebody please help?
