Sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused. Please check if you have any conflicting anti virus on your PC and remove it. Also check if you have any traces of older AVG programs. Run AVG remover tool once as suggested below and try installing AVG.
Download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces.
Open tool
User Account control - click "Yes"
Windows safe mode - click "No" .
Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
Click "Uninstall"
Click "Restart computer"
After restart, run AVG Remover and remove all other supported products and remnants of AVG (ZEN, Framework,…).
Open AVG_Remover.exe (http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe)
User Account control - click "Yes"
Click "CONTINUE"
Select all products, and click "Remove"
Click "Restart" and restart PC
If is displayed dialog window (Open file – Security Warning) after restart, click "Run" and let AVG Remover remove traces
If is AVG Remover asking for restart PC, restart PC again.
