The 'Zen' UI wouldn't let me run a scan.  Also, the set of running processes looked shorter than before.  Seemed suspicious, so I tried a fresh installation.

I have a paid license. 

The installer fails with this Windows error message.  ( c0000005 is usually a memory location error, which seems unlikely.  My computer is fairly new and has been running properly.)
