Installation of free AVG virus protection

Hello Graham,
We regret for the inconvenience caused. Since you have mentioned that you are expriencing issue with uninstallation McAfee we would request you to run the McAfee remover tool  http://us.mcafee.com/apps/supporttools/mcpr/mcpr.asp and chcek whether it resolves the issue. If you still facing issues with  McAfee we would request you to contact McAfee support regarding this.
Once it has been removed, We would request you  to remove previously installed program traces of (AVG 2015 or AVG 2014)from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Internet Security.
Note: If you have installed any other conflicting programs like AVAST, NORTON, McAfee or KASPERSKY  try to uninstall it.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the steps which mentioned below.
Remover and Download:

I cant seem to fully uninstall McCaffe protection that was pre-installed on my PC. This is not lettng the AVG to complete its installation.

  1. Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
    3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
    4)Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
