Installing AVG Antivirus on New PC

Hello Deb,
Could you please confirm whether you could login into your PC after the restore? If so we would request you to run AVG remover tool to completely remove AVG and then re install it.
Please click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG Remover tool.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart,  manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.

I had the exact same problems after trying to install AVG again.
I am still unable to install AVG on my PC.  I have now sent my pc to the manufacturer for re-install of the OS.  I would appreciate any further help for when the PC is returned.  Otherwise after years of using AVG on all my pc's, will have to request a refund for my remaining year subscription.  I am not sure if it matters, but Acer installed Windows 10 - OS Version:  1.00.3009

Has anyone had problems installing AVG Antivirus on a newly formatted Windows 10 64-bit?  Pre-installed on the PC was McAfee.  I totally cleaned that out before installing AVG.  After the install, I rebooted the PC and it boots up into a screen that says Windows will not start.  Gives me the option to restore to a previous version only.  Tried to reboot into safe mode and it was rejected.  The only way to start the pc was restore to the version before I installed AVG.  Fortunately, I created restore points before and after un-installing McAfee.  Could really use some help with this one.  AVG support says it's the pc and pc manufacturer says it's AVG.

ok, I followed all instructions.  I also found a McAfee Removal Tool which I used first.  As soon as everything was cleaned out, I rebooted my pc, deleted the AVG Removal Folder, rebooted again then installed AVG from your link above  Everything runs after installation, UNTIL I reboot the pc.  I could not take screenshots as I never got to a login screen, so I took pics with my camera. But they will not download to your site.  Basically 1st screen was "Preparing Automatic Repair", 2 - Diagnosing PC 3-Automatic Repair with selection of reboot or Advanced Options, picked Advance Options…long storey short, I tried to reboot into safe mode, wouldn't, so I did a restore (I created a restore point before doing anything)  So now I've restored my pc to before I installed AVG.  Any other suggestions?

Deb, Is this the McAfee total removal tool that you're using (http://us.mcafee.com/apps/supporttools/mcpr/mcpr.asp)?.
