I uninstalled Malwarebytes, as instructed above, and followed all steps (remover tool, reboot, delete remover folder, and download and installed again.

Do you have any other third party antivirus program installed on your PC?
Run AVG remover tool, every attempt to install ends with error code: 0xc0070643
I see a lot of others in the forum have same issue.

Fill in your email address
Fill in the case # which is 03670753 by copying and pasting it from this email
Click send output
As soon as we receive the data, we will analyze the files and provide you with further information.

Please uninstall the conflicting applications such as Malwarebytes, McAfee, Avast, Norton etc… on your PC.
Once done please click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG Remover tool to remove all the traces of the AVG.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart, manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.
