Installing AVG Internet Security seems impossible

Help! Installing AVG Internet Security seems impossible. It keeps telling me that I have to remove old AVG programms which I did to the best of my knowledge. What do I have to do? My computer is a Macbook Pro 16. Please help if there is anyone that knows how to solve this problem. Best regards, Petra

Thank you for reaching AVG support Channel. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. Its look like old file of AVG still present in your device. This is the reason why you are unable to install Internet Security on Mac. 

Let us first remove the old files and restart the device. 

1. Open Finder
2. In menubar select Go > Go to Folder…
3. Type /Library/Application Support/ and hit the enter key
4. Locate and delete AVGAntivirus folder
5. Reboot computer and AVG should be removed

Now, please try to install AVG Internet Security and check it. We look forward for your response.
