Hello John,
The option is actually available with the latest version.
Open AVG Internet Security interface.
Click on "Menu–>Settings–>Components–>Enhanced Firewall".
Under Firewall, you can find "Application Rules" where you can set rules for any application to allow/block internet access for it.
Feel free to contact us if you need further help.
You are quite correct in your answer, thank you - However unless you are aware of what process is running, you cannot set any rule for it.!
For example scanning through the Task Manager I noticed one process running by the tile of 'node.exe' … what is that ? how long has it been running and accessing the internet? is it part of of an application or a virus/malware?
I would have like to have been made aware of this .exe by your 'popup window' … allow or block … before it could have damaged my computer.
Please bring back your alert popup window … allow/block
Thankyou.
Why oh why have you removed the interactive mode from your internet security … I can no longer decide which programmes are allow to access the internet.
Put it back !
John, we completely agree with you.
