Which browser you are facing this issue?
We would request you to check with turn off Web shield from AVG application and check internet speed.
Please share the screenshot of speed check with and without AVG shield.

Whenever AVG Free updates the virus signature, I lose ability to browse/download.  Speed test confirms download speeds are less than 2 Mbps (on a 500 Mbps wifi connection) while upload speeds are unaffected.  I have no firewall (AVG or otherwise) installed or active.  A reboot will resolve the issue until AVG virus signature is again updated.  This is a recent development (within the last 7 days).
