Internet vulnerability profile

After closing AVG and other programmes and returning the same result I ruled AVG out but was dissapointed that no one at AVG or in this community seemed to be able to offer any sugestion. I have now been advised that:-
Basically if you are behind a router then unless you have specifically forwarded ports to a PC the test is actually probing the routers ports rather than the PC's.

If you want to test the PC you need to do the following either.
Put the router in Modem mode or
Put the PC in the routers DMZ which effectively tells the router to forward all connections to your PC.

Obviously you'd only do this for testing and take it out of the routers DMZ afterwards.

I've posted this answer just incase anyone else finds themselves in the position I was.

Hi, Can someone advise this tired old man?
Yesterday I ran an internet vulnerability profile scan using 'Shields Up'. The scan recorded a failure.
This is the report on ports 0-1055
port 1 closed all others stealth

Is it likely that AVG Firewall had closed this port.which is I understand is tcp mux?
