Is it my browser or eBay

Disabled web shield as requested but problem was still there. I can go into ebay to look at things w/o problem but to buy or sell you have to go into my ebay and it is going there where the problem shows up. Reactivated the web shield after the test.

Ken,
I would suggest you to submit the detected web site details to our developers so they can analyze and add it to AVG virus definitions. Please have a look at the steps provided in the article below:

I am running Windows 10 on my computer and my default browser is Google Chrome which was recently updated. When I go to the eBay website I get this message from my AVG anti-virus " aborted connection www.ebay.com infected with JS: Redirector-BKD (TRJ)
This is the only website where this happens if I use my Microsoft Edge browser I do not receive this message.
I have several different anti-virus programs on my computer but AVG is the only active one all the others such as my Malwarebytes anti-malware are stand alone and have found no Trojan viruses on my computer and I do weekly virus scans.
What I am wondering is if (1) my Google Chrome is infected (2) if this Trojan is on the eBay website or (3) this is a false reading.

Hello! Just signed up to let you know that I'm having the same message as I try to log in to Ebay using Firefox.  I've had it twice and it looks like an AVG alert window.  I scanned with Malwarebytes and nothing was found.  I think I had it once yesterday and just a few moments ago it happened again.

I am using AVG Free, Windows 7, and my default browser is Firefox. When I go to the eBay website, I also receive the same message, that AVG has aborted my conneciton with eBay due to being infected with JS:Redirector-BKD[Trj].

I have started having the same problem using win 8.1 with IE 11 and AVG internet security. Ebay claims no record of such problems. Screen shot attached.

Hello Lexie,

I am happy to hear that after reinstalling latest version of Google Chrome you did not have this problem with ebay. This might have caused due to a certificate issue with the older Google Chrome browser for that particular website. That is why AVG detected that particular website as unsafe. Once you have installed the latest version of Google Chrome might have fixed the certificate error.
