i have been getting daft replies to emails.
i have been using avg for years.
this january when i renewed it still say it is 2014 software from when i last renewed. a 2 year renewal.

"I see that you are trying to activate AVG Internet security using license number."
and
"You must have visited the untrusted websites where you might have entered your email address and password, that's the reason you facing this issue."

Indian people are okay but their training is just not good enough.
note that they do NOT seem to know what if any improvements are in 2016 compared to 2014. and is it really worth the bother of updating. i have NEVER had to remove and replace their software fefore. just putting in the new number usually does this.

Yes, as Alan explained, AVG Support is globally located in India and the city name is Chennai.
Are you sure that you received the email from AVG? Did you have the AVG logo at the bottom of the email?
Does it have a customer care agent name in it?
