Hi There J Hudson,
Unfortunately there is no way that i know of from my vast experience of AVG in regards to recovering files you have deleted from the virus vault.
May i ask what operating system you are using? (i.e. windows XP, vista, 7, 8, 8.1)
Regards,
Kenza
…still stuck with XP SP3.
Just How* the heck are we supposed to know which "infected files" are really infections?
If they are "only" medium infections I guess we should just let them ride … ??
Is there any way to recover (from 'the cloud' or anywhere else*) files that were detected as "infections" and then deleted from the virus vault?
This is going to sound weird (…maybe not…) but after AVG determined certain files were "infected" and put in* the Virus Vault, my pc still worked fine… but after deleting the "infected files" from the Virus vault my computer will not even open folders correctly. I can try to open / search the C:\ drive and all I get is the "Search Assistant" asking me what I'm looking For*…!! On top of that, two of the files I deleted from the Vault, I can still* find remnants of in my computer (but apparently not the whole file).
I managed to get 'Here' using the link on the AVG dashboard, so I can probably work my way around to get TO my email, etc… we'll see.
…and, NO, I Cannot* even do a System Restore to YESTERDAY, or* 10 days ago, or* 4 days ago*!!
Any suggestions would be appreciated*

To run System restore temporarily disabling AVG (right click on tray icon) should be enough.
Thanks
