If you are charged for AVG, you can see the name AVG on the bank statement.
The payment process will be done through "Digital River" which manages the online sale and distribution of AVG products and services.
May I ask whether you contacted any third party support to fix any issue with your PC?

Is the above mentioned company affiliated with AVG? And if so, why was I charged $397 for a 3 year subscription? have I been scammed?
